Yesterday I read from the news that Cong. Roilo Golez made a resolution to commemorate Steve Jobs.
Of course, it sates in the resolution of the appreciation of the honorable congressman to SJ, it also states that he's been a user since '84 when everybody doubted Macintosh.
With all due respect to SJ, I appreciate all his contributions, he indeed made our lives easier and convenient, but on my own opinion, I don't think he deserves a spot in our tribunal, as what the good congressman did.
Sure, it is his right to do it, but being a pinoy, he could have included some names of unsung real heroes, like people who risked their lives during the calamities that recently devastated our land, or something to that effect.
One eye brow raising part of the resolution is that he made the resolution out of self appreciation, being a congressman I think, you should decide not based on your self but on the people who put him in that seat, his constituents.
I think this is a social awareness for everyone under his jurisdiction to think twice whenever he'll run again for the seat, I mean, am sure there are a lot of issues that needs to be tackled in his area, but spending sometime to create a resolution just to honor the person who made his listening pleasure easier, is a little absurd and alarming.
To cap, sir mister congressman, you all have the right to create a resolution for SJ if what he did put you from the sol gen to your current seat, but again, I think your constituents deserved more than an SJ resolution.
